Walzer Cafe is owned and run by the loveliest lady. She really cares about her customers and always dedicates a few kind words to everyone even in her busiest moments. She makes your visit unforgettable. The food is delicious - try her sandwiches! She'd be happy to prepare a custom-made sandwich or drink if you are vegan or have other dietary restrictions. She will go out of her way to make you happy. It's obvious that she loves to experiment with creative ideas - her lavender hot chocolate is to die for! The place is hidden inside a peaceful courtyard just half a block away from the Fisherman's Bastion and the beautiful Mathias Church. The decoration is lovely too. There are fleece blankets to use for those who are cold. In the afternoon, lit candles decorate the tables. There is a small kids' corner filled with books and toys for those who are there with children. It is definitely a place you have to stop by while you're visiting beautiful Budapest!

This little café is rated the highest in Budapest in the 'desserts' listing, and after our visit we say it is rightly so!
This sweet little café lies just a bit of the throdden path, but serves the best cakes and cookies I've tasted yet. Be sure to visit here, when your on Buda Castle hill! We chatted wth the hostess for a bit and it was clear she truly loves to run her establishment. If you fancy a piece of pie, do yourself a favour and visit!

When walking into the cafe it doesn't look the grandest but when you sit down you start to see the lovely little touches to the place. We didn't see a menu so we went to find one to walk into such a lovely little cove! The menu is behind the counter. They stocked low fat milk (a rarity in Budapest) as well as rice and almond milk. We ordered two lattes with syrup which were the best I had in Budapest hands down! They come in Walzer cafe mugs and a little biscuit. We didn't order any food but it looked delicious nonetheless. There are even blankets on the back of chairs for when it gets cold. A great touch! The owner is very friendly and you can tell she is passionate about her business. Considering she does not advertise I think the Tripadviosr score speaks for itself! A definite for when on the Buda side :)

We went to this cafe after locating it on google maps and reading the reviews on tripadvisor. Must say excellent location, service and yummy chai latte and sandwiches, It was located 5 mins from our hotel. The lady who serviced us was so nice and friendly. A must go and try for anyone who is in the area. A great choice of cakes, cold drinks and lattes.
